I’m eager to get to HUB-BUB’s “The Showroom” tonight to screen TAKEN IN.

I’ll never forget the first time I walked in to this fabulous downtown gallery/performance hall back in the spring of 2009. I was convinced that day that it was the best arts organization concept in South Carolina. (And still am.)

Stephen Long, who runs the place, showed me around. The building had once housed a car dealership and shoe store. He talked about their vision for the place…a right-sized cultural center for Spartanburg committed to young and emerging artists, enriching and revitalizing the city center…and, in everything, community.

I’ve performed at The Showroom twice. In “The Chris & Jeff Show,” and “Improvoke.” Both experiences were amazing.
