I’m pleased to announce that I will join the faculty of the Carolina Film Institute in January as screenwriting instructor.

CFI offers a 40-week total immersion in the art and craft of filmmaking. Graduates receive a professional certificate and are placed in professional internships that provide excellent experiences...an open door to a career in film.

Oh yeah...students actually shoot film at this school. Isn’t that amazing? An actual film school...here in Greenville!

My first order of business will be working alongside the current class as they write their first feature-length screenplays. My plan is to write alongside them...my own feature-length screenplay. How’s that for a instructor empathy?

I’m looking forward to this rare opportunity, and to the start of my own post-graduate study of screenwriting this summer at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.
