My son Whitaker (11) likes all things sci-fi...especially STAR TREK.He likes the Original Series (Shatner, Nimoy, etc) and the subsequent movies...The Next Generation (that dimly-lit follow up with Patrick Stewart as a bald captain), Voyager, DS-9, Enterprise...anything and everything Roddenberry-inspired.
He (and I) loved the J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie that came out this past summer.
I’ve shown him other TV and film sci-fi that I grew up with: STAR WARS, everyone’s sci-fi gateway drug; BUCK ROGERS IN THE 25TH CENTURY, more 20th century than anything else, but OK; BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, have not seen the new series but hear it’s fantastic; BACK TO THE FUTURE, the first film is still the best, but the other two are very watchable; and CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND.
ALIEN, THE MATRIX, and THE TERMINATOR may be next...what am I forgetting?
