Reg wants to showcase "the American devotion to overtly sexual and secular icons" at Graceland.
Eric says that without written permission from the estate, the two are likely to be thrown off the premises…perhaps even losing the camera and maybe spending a night in jail.
This seems to excite Reg. It’s an adventure! A heist of sorts…something fun and maybe even illegal. Something they would have thought nothing of as teenagers, but now they are restrained, refined. Reg calls it an issue of masculinity and self-determination. Gate-crashers they must be.
They purchase admission tickets. Reg posing as Eric’s father and Eric hand-holding the DSLR camera as nonchalantly as possible.
As they enter the house, Reg begins to address the camera…and by the time they get to the legendary Jungle Room, they are confronted by a tour guide
“Gentlemen, is that a video camera?”
“No…”
“Sir. You are talking to it.”
