EDIT

Today, I spent several hours working alongside long-time collaborator Jeter Rhodes at his video editing studio in Rutherfordton, North Carolina.

Jeter and I worked through my original script outline, shoot notes, and selected takes for a new short film project I’ve named, GOOD LIFE.

The initial results of our collaboration are encouraging.

I knew the footage Daniel McCord shot looked amazing—startlingly good when you consider that we shot on location with no fill lights…on a video camera (Canon EOS Rebel T2i). But what was so encouraging today was seeing the various shots come together, match, fit.

Also, Jeter’s initial sound design concepts are pretty awesome. So awesome, you’ll probably not even notice the film’s sound design.

We’ve got at least another several days of precision work to finish the film, but even today...our first official day in post…it’s starting to look like a movie.

A really good little movie.
