BANGORS

This summer I met the filmmakers behind the documentary THE WAY WE GET BY at the film’s L.A. premier. It airs nationally on PBS tonight.

THE WAY WE GET BY offers a very moving story about elderly troop greeters in Bangor, Maine. It made me think of my friend Brian Prindle who is currently in Iraq...and related in a significant way to the screenplay I’m currently working on with Emily Reach.

Em and I befriended Aron Gaudet (the director) and Gita Pullapilly (the producer) and also met Rich Sommer from Mad Men...the official celebrity on hand for the red carpet.

But the highlight of the screening was getting to meet one of the film’s stars: 73 year-old Jerry Mundy. You’ll understand why that was such a thrill when you see the film.
