IMPROVOKE

Can’t wait for the show Tuesday night at The Showroom.

(I’m readying my red, comedy jumpsuit as you read this!)

Been waiting for the opportunity to polish my “one-man improv show” concept for years now. It’s been tested in many ways and in several venues over the past three or four years, but this official rollout in Spartanburg Tuesday night is the first time I’ve actually called Improvoke “finished,” “audience-ready.”

Essentially, the whole show is about teaching and learning. The subject is live comic performance, and my subjects are four audience members who aren’t actors or comedians when they enter the theatre, but are when they leave.

I think it’s fun to watch people learn...step out of their comfort zones...try new things. That’s the essence of the show. And I’m trusting that other people will respond as I do.

Plus...Improvoke is always funny. Extremely funny.
