My daughter Harriet and I saw Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH this morning at Greenville’s BI-LO Center.(Yes. I got her out of school for this. So sue me!)
“Funundrum” (which is the all-new blue tour for you Ringling geeks) lived up to it’s name: it was fun...but I’m not sure why.
I mean, it was a RBBB show...arena-scaled and way over the top.
I’m not a fan of arena shows. Or large-scale circus. So I shouldn’t have had as much fun as I did.
But I had a blast. Because Harriet loved it. Especially the tigers.
There’s something to be said for experiencing live theatre with other people...with other people you love.
It’s like there’s this incredible, electrical connection between she and I...a hard wire crackling between our hearts.
When Harriet’s heart is buzzing, mine is too.
