REBRICKED

I just completed a thorough reworking of the script for BRICK The Play.

The original version was performed last March at J.L. Mann High School in Greenville. It played like a straight re-working of Rian Johnson’s film. Nearly every scene brought to the stage and presented in the order it occurred in the film.

The next production happened in October at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. This version was trimmed up, shorter...made more “theatrical” and portable.

The latest version will be presented this November at The Theatre of Western Springs just outside of Chicago, Illinois. In it, I’ve completely reshuffled the deck, added a couple of brand new scenes, and sat most of the cast on the stage...in bleachers...watching it all unfold and dutifully playing their assigned roles.
