CANNED

I shouldn’t be this enthusiastic about a soda can. But...I am.

Weighing in at a mere 7.5 ounces, this wee Caffeine-Free Diet Coke container compelled me to purchase it and seven of its little brothers yesterday at a local supermarket.

I really, really like it.

I don’t drink cola to quench my thirst, really. I savor “the burn.” And this merest of portions provides that without being too filling.

I also like the design of the can...how it’s not just an exactly re-proportioned 12 ounce can. It’s it’s own thing. A little larger than a vintage Donald Duck orange juice can, not as squat as those little 8 ounce cans. I mean, I dig the 8 ouncers, too...it’s just that 7.5 is...better.

I do appreciate the bottle-shaped cans, but that design is so...on-the-nose. Whereas the 7.5 can is perfectly gorgeous.
