Whitaker Singleton White is obsessed with all things STAR TREK. He collects any kind of STAR TREK action figure, book or DVD.He has several fascinating friends. Will (Columbia) has been his pal since they were rugrats. Zack, Rivers, Thomas...these are his local buds. When they get together you laugh out loud. Their happiness is infectious.
He’s often at odds with his sisters—one older, one younger. But there are moments when he sneaks in such devastating love for them both. He adores his mother...like all boys love their mother. And yet...Whit is so sweet to her, kind to her in touching ways.
She calls him “a brown-eyed, soft-hearted joy.”
Today is his 12th birthday. I look forward to knowing him for many, many years to come...and, I hope, being one of his best friends and colleagues when 1998 seems like a century ago.
