SPEED

Working as an actor in a student film at Greenville’s Fine Arts Center this week.

DIMENSIONS is based on Edwin Abbott Abbott’s 1884, pre-science fiction satire, “Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions.” Abbott was a school teacher who used geometry to critique Victorian culture.

Ruth Miller’s screenplay is great...reads more like Marker’s LA JETEE (1962) than Jules Verne.

[If there is any film role in any movie I’d love to play (other than Luke Skywalker, of course), it’s Davos Hanich’s “The Man” from that haunting film.]

But the really cool thing about DIMENSIONS is the fact my son Whitaker is playing...my son in the film. We shot today in the studio and he did a great job. Tomorrow we head for the mountains and a day-long location shoot. How cool is that?

DIMENSIONS is funded in part by the fine folks with the Upstate Film Society.
