AMEN

They won’t play Cowboys Stadium again. That video screen monstrosity that hangs from the ceiling made U2’s space oddity stage-craft look out of place. Plus, I hear the sound was awful up top.

But…

I wept through the first seven songs: Breathe....Magnificent….Beautiful Day….Still Haven't Found….Stuck In A Moment.

I also wept through the last eight: Sunday Bloody Sunday….MLK...Walk On...Streets….With or Without You….Moment of Surrender.

In between I was slack-jawed or laughing or singing REALLY loud.

Seeing U2 play live is like watching the four coolest older guys in school hang out together...but instead of being cool or talking trash about chicks or otherwise raising hell...these guys are completely uncynical. Kind. Ambitious for good things. Wise. And funny...fun-loving. Smart.

That’s the kind of guy I’ve always wanted to be. That’s why I liked U2 360.
